One of my favorite places to roam around in New York City has to be St Marks Place. Lined with interesting restaurants that are not only cheap but absolutely delicious. So a friend of mine HyeWon (Korean. Pronounced as hey-won) brought a bunch of us to this Korean restaurant which she claims has pretty authentic Korean food. The fried chicken is suppose to be famous to. She recommended the BiBimBop which I instantly said “YES!” to. Not because i have tried it before and loved it, but because it is the coolest/funniest/most interesting name i have ever heard for a food. Bi Bim Bop! BI BIM BOP! Say it fast. Say it slow. It is such a fun word to say! Gillian will agree with me on this.

BiBimBop

So anyway the BiBimBop was awesome. I didnt get the hot stone bowl one at first which is a stupid idea. Always get that. Burning the rice on the bowl makes the dish so much more yummy. And try the Jaeyook, which is the spicy pork one. It is better than the bulgogi beef one. And finally, get a few pieces of fried chicken. I think they are good, but not like absolutely fantastic. They are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, but the sauce i feel is not flavorful enough. But it is a great side to have and a great meal to share in a party.
