New Orleans: Croissants

I have been trying to find a place to try King Cake. Apparently its a cake that is famous in New Orleans, especially during the Mardi Gras season. So i yelped it but couldn’t find anything‚Ķ but i did find this croissant place that promised to serve the best chocolate croissant in the world.

So i got excited and i went to check it out. After all, it is in the french quarter hence its highly convenient. Tried it. Best croissant i ever had but i believe it could be better. it was perfect in turns of texture, crispiness and butteriness, but i believe there could be more chocolate that would make it better. and they could have used better chocolate too! But it was not too expensive so shouldnt ask for too much.

Royal Pastry

The royal pastry was expensive and not impressive. Just sweet bread with raisin and custard coated baked. It was nice but not fantastic. Expensive too. But the choc croissant was definitely good but they need to make a slight improvement with the chocolate to be the best ever. I see great potential here. Great potential.
